computer wife

Digital print on UPVC, 100x177cm, 2025
Reimagining a speculative future through the lens of nostalgia and techno-orientalism, Computer Wife explores the commodification of intimate relationships in the digital age. I explore the objectification of the feminine body through the figure of the lifelike robot Jia Jia, created in 2010 by the University of Science and Technology in China. Combining high-tech and kitsch, this piece poses uncomfortable questions about artificial personhood, relationships, and bodily autonomy.
