‘Sorry I didn’t hear you over the sound of me not listening’ acts as a refusal to conform in a world which polices women’s behaviour and bodies. When we are expected to be always online and available, the idea of unplugging and closing our ears to the constant notifications is a radical act. The print on a skate deck subverts expectations, elevating an object associated with street culture and fashion to the status of fine art.
